[compsoc-announce] CompSoc, Week One

Welcome back, everyone, and welcome to First Week.

I hope you all enjoyed your summer, and CompSoc is back in action this 
term with some new events. The termcard is now up on the website [0], so 
have a look down it and see what we have planned.

This week, we have a pubmeet at the Lamb and Flag from about 8pm on 
Thursday (11th Oct).  Come along, have a drink, and recant as many 
anecdotes as you can manage. Extra points go to anyone who manages to 
convince a fresher to join the society...

If you ordered a CompSoc t-shirt, and will be coming along, email me, 
and I'll bring yours to the pub. Make sure to have £14 handy, as well, 
otherwise it might be difficult to take yours from the bag. We also have 
four spare ones (2 large, 2 medium), so if you fancy one (they look 
somewhat like [1]), email me and turn up with the relevant cash.

Next week we have the usual OUCS tour, and our first speaker is in Third 
Week. I'll be writing more about those closer to the time, though, so 
for now, we hope to see you on Thursday!
