Hello Everyone,

On January 30th (Saturday of 2nd week) CompSoc will be hosting Jane Street and their hackathon eth1. This is the successor to last year's very successful eth0 (electronic trading hackathon). Updates will be posted to our Facebook event. More details can be found below.

Please note this event requires preregistration and there is limited space, so you must register with Jane Street using the form below if you wish to attend.

We hope to see many of you there,

Kind regards,
Matthew

eth1: a day-long programming contest. Form teams and have your software compete against others and the markets.

Department of Computer Science, January 30th, 10am to 10pm.

A significant cash prize is on the line for the winning team. There'll be lots of (free) food and drinks available.

Absolutely no knowledge of finance, nor OCaml is required. You don't have to be a CS student or a full on programmer to participate but you'd need some knowledge of coding. You can use any language, but we'll provide some helper libraries in a few common ones. The contest is entirely technical in nature and you won't need any visual design skills.

Follow the link below to register and please bear in mind spaces are limited.

We look forward to seeing you then!
