Thursday Talk: Making Moral Machines

Should we try to program ethics—and if so, how would we do it? This talk will explore the challenges that arise when automation meets morality and whether human-level moral reasoning can be instantiated
in machines.
About our speaker:
Jen Semler is a DPhil student in Philosophy at Reuben College. Her research is on AI ethics, particularly artificial moral agency.
This is one for the CSPhil'ers (and anyone else interested, of course!) - don't miss out on this fascinating event!

woman or woman-adjacent person in CS! They have a host of wonderful events on, including talks, panels and socials. Computer Science is unfortunately a subject with one of the biggest
