I hope you all enjoyed the range of events we had over last week. It's been great to see so many new (and existing) faces at our events so far.
We've also got a great selection of events lined up for this week too. To kick off the week we have an Introduction to Competitive Programming Workshop. We've also got our first talk of the
term coming on Thursday as well as an opportunity to design your own discord bot at our Saturday social.

Intro To Competitive Programming Workshop
|
A workshop aimed at beginners looking to get into competitive programming! We will also cover solutions during our Week 1 Contest, so join our Codeforces group here and
try out the problems if you haven't already taken a look! Experienced competitive programmers welcome too - there will be free snacks and ample chance to meet other competitive programmers!

Speaker Bio: Dom has been with QRT for 5 years and previous to that with Citadel. Dom is a Software Engineer specialising
in C++ and low-latency engineering.
Join us for the first talk of the term to hear about electronic trading systems from Qube Research & Technologies. There will also be pizza and drinks after the talk and an opportunity
to discuss the talk.

or woman-adjacent person in CS! They have a host of wonderful events on, including talks, panels and socials. Computer Science is unfortunately a subject with one of the biggest
gender gaps in Oxford and worldwide, and addressing this is at the core of OxWoCS.
