Just a quick note to say that the AGM will be held in the Turf Tavern tomorrow, at 7pm. We now have three nominees for the new committee, so voting should be reasonably quick, and we're planning to decamp to a restaurant afterwards for a meal, as the last social of term. Week 7: Nominations, and some announcements

Well, it's that time of the year, and the Compsoc AGM will be coming up. It'll be held at a yet-to-be-decided restaurant next Thursday; I'll email about the specific details next week. More importantly, we are now asking for nominees for the positions of President, Secretary and Treasurer. The current committee are all stepping down, and so we need at least one nominee for each position. If you're interested, or would like to know what each job involves, there's a somewhat legalese description of them in the Constitution [1], or you can email president@, secretary@ or treasurer@ and ask us to give a better description! Nominations should be in by midnight on Weds, 11th March, to committee(a)ox.compsoc.net, and you should name a proposer and seconder who will be present at the AGM (if you don't have one, and we know you, some of the committee will be happy to assist). [1]: http://ox.compsoc.net/constitution/ Also, some of you noticed our preliminary announcement of Peter Molyneux coming to talk this week, before everything was confirmed; unfortunately, he's had to reschedule, but we should be able to get him in for Trinity Term (so, potential committee members, one speaker is already pretty much arranged!)
