Here is a message from Morgan Stanley the deadline for applications is
monday, so you've got to be quick -
Morgan Stanley, the world leading financial services firm, is hosting an
insight day - exclusively for women interested in learning more about
potential careers in technology - and they would like us to invite you
The event is being held in central London on the Wednesday 24^th October
at the bank's offices between 10am and 5pm. It is open to female STEM
students who are due to graduate in 2013 or 2014 and all travel expenses
will be covered.
If selected to attend, you will receive a day of insightful
presentations by firm representatives, engaging group exercises, a tour
of their offices in Canary Wharf, mock interviews and a networking lunch
with their technology representatives. This is a fantastic
opportunity to learn more about the possible careers in this sector --
and to get noticed by the right people.
To apply for a place at this event, candidates must *please send a copy
of their CV to *events(a)brightnetwork.co.uk
<mailto:email@example.com>*by 9am on Monday 1^st October 2012*.
The CV should be no longer than one side of A4. CVs will be sent on to
the bank for consideration and the Bright Team may call to ask a few
questions about applicants' interest in attending before allocating the
limited number of places.
This year we have decided to give out CompSoc Membership Cards to our
lifetime members (that's all lifetime members that we have in our
database, roughly since 1987). Each card will be unique as they come
with each member's name printed on it and a barcode (which we plan on
integrating into the events in a cool way).
You can have a look at the design of the cards by following the link below.
If you would like a membership card, all you need to do is fill out the
form here: http://ox.compsoc.net/feedback/membership_cards/ and come and
collect it at one of our events this coming year, you do not need to pay
anything. (The welcome back drinks would be the best time to do this).
Please bare in mind that this is for lifetime members only, and each
member is only allowed one card.
If you have any queries regarding membership cards, feel free to contact
me at secretary(a)ox.compsoc.net <mailto:firstname.lastname@example.org>
