Monday greetings to you all!
There was a mixup regarding the date of this week's talk, unfortunately. It is in fact _tomorrow_, Tuesday 9th, at 8.30pm. With any luck, it will still be in the Denys Wilkinson Building, but I'll have to confirm that tomorrow.
In case you've forgotten: we have Stuart Langridge coming to talk to us about aspects of "Web 2.0". It should be of interest to anyone who's interested in the web and what can be done with it.
Stuart, web developer, LugRadio presenter and author of DHTML Utopia, will discuss the resurgence of JavaScript and how AJAX is allowing developers to create a new breed of cross-platform, rich Internet applications.
Time: 8.30pm on Tuesday 9th May (TOMORROW) Location: TBA [Dennis Sciama Lecture Theatre, Denys Wilkinson Building]
As Michael said, we'll be eating with Stuart before his talk, and we'd like you to come along! If you're interested, please email committee@ox.compsoc.net, and we'll tell you the vital details you'll need to track us down (don't worry, we're a friendly bunch).
Hope to see lots of you tomorrow. I, for one, am looking forward to hearing what Stuart has to say. I'll mail out as soon as I can confirm the venue,
