Speaker: Simon Chatterjee (Ensoft Ltd.)
*...: the software networking revolution*
Abstract: The high-end networking that makes the Internet has
historically depended on extremely exotic and expensive custom hardware.
But that is starting to change, and pure software-based networking is
starting to become a meaningful part of both the Internet and massive
data centers, opening up these walled gardens to anyone who can write
code. This talk is an accessible introduction into why, and some
interesting problems that have to be solved to enable software to
connect the world.
Bio: The presenter is Director & CTO of Ensoft, whose experience
includes helping to bring into existence the Guinness Book of Records'
"World's Highest Capacity Internet Router".
*Free food and drink will also be provided.*

*About Learn to Code*
During these events, there will be a mixture of interactive workshops
and talks. We will be teaching you the basics of programming
using Python <http://www.python.org/>. These events are good if you have
zero coding experience, but they are also valuable if you already have
started coding and would like to better your skills. We also welcome
people who already have good coding experience as the more volunteers
the better!
