answer any questions you may have about startups. *Free pizza* will be
provided.

Thursday will be providing some challenges for both groups, with helpers
on hand to answer any questions or point you towards useful resources.
The *End of Term LAN Night*

bring your laptop and some ideas for games you would like to play. There
will be plenty of food provided.

HackCampus Startup Series Talk

HackCampus are excited to bring developers from some of their partnered
startups to talk to you about what they do, and some of the challenges
they face day-to-day.
It will be a relaxed evening with some 'fireside chat' style talks
followed by an opportunity to network, and accompanied by free pizza!

In the final session of Learn to Code for this term, we'll have various
exercises and challenges for you to practice your Python on. Helpers
will be on hand to provide assistance and advice, as well as to answer

Hello All,
A huge thank you to all those of you who came to the AGM last week and
helped elect the new committee for the next year.
Starting in Trinity the committee will be:
* President - Matthew Burke (3rd Year Physics)
* Secretary - Thomas Denney (1st Year Computer Science)
* Treasurer - Christopher Mullender (3rd Year Physics)
I am looking forward to another year on the committee and working
closely with the new members. I also want to give a huge thank you to
our current President Cameron Alsop and Treasurer James Wallis for their
excellent work over the last year; and to Ex Presidents Joe Fowler and
Sam Lanning, their assistance and knowledge has been essential in
running the society.
We have plenty of space on the committee for new roles, so if there are
any positions that you think the society could benefit from having
please let us know by contacting the committee, either by email at
committee(a)ox.compsoc.net, or by finding one us at any of our events.
Even though we are near to the end of term, we still have some great
talks to go, as well as some more Learn To Code sessions and Geek Nights.

Super-scale Mobile Applications with Bloomberg

An email client. An instant messenger. A real-time financial market data
viewer and news reader. A portfolio viewer. A note taker, file manager,
media viewer, flight planner, restaurant finder..... All built into one
secure,mobile application. On 4 different mobile operating systems. Does
this sound challenging?
Mark Olleson from Bloomberg's Mobile team will discuss how conventional
development tools and techniques scale poorly when faced with this
challenge, and how Bloomberg tackles the problem.
Food and drinks will be provided after the talk.

In Session 6, the main group will be able to choose from a variety of
coding challenges, to practice everything they have learnt. Helpers will
be on hand to advise and give tips. We will also be happy to help you
with anything you have had difficulty with during the course, or answer
any other questions you might have.
The secondary group will be covering Classes and Object Oriented
Programming, plus file operations and random numbers.
