Hi everyone,
I'd hereby like to introduce you all to the brilliant new CompSoc
committee! This year we'll have a much larger one (from three/five members
in the previous year to eleven!) and they are all top-tier quality people.
Key roles:
- *President: *Hamzah Qureshi. Hamzah is a brilliant and ambitious
first-year student of CS who has many amazing ideas to improve the
structure and integration of the society into other university societies
and departments.
- *Vice-President: *Hoa Duong. Hoa is a first-year CS and Philosophy
student with more excellent ideas to increase (cross-society) engagement
and accessibility.
- *Secretary: *Skai Cook. Skai is an excellent first-year CS student who
will keep all the admin running smoothly and efficiently.
- *Social Secretary*: Antoni Pilat and Esther Miles (joint). A dream
team of a CS and Philosophy first-year and CS and Maths first-year who will
manage the society's social media presence and host exciting events.
- *Treasurer*: Kledion Shahini. Kledion is a sharp and witty student of
Mathematics, perfect for the role of treasurer.
Sub-roles:
- *Leader of Excursions:* Arcadia Cipriani. Arcadia is a lovely
first-year student of CS and Philosophy with a range of great ideas ranging
from board game nights, escape rooms, picnics, karaoke, Junk Yark Golf, and
interdisciplinary events.
- *Leader of LAN and Gaming*: Rish Naik and Jake Simian (joint). Two
"very experienced" gamers, what more could you want. Both first-year CS
students.
- *Leader of Coding Workshops*: Viktor Kozhuharov and Oscar Mui (joint).
Two experienced programmers and first-year CS students who will host a
range of coding workshops for students with varying ability, in CS and
beyond.

It was a great pleasure and privilege to be your president this past year!
