Dear CompSoc members,
We were made aware that our previous email contained a typo; the elections
for new committee members will be held on Tuesday the 9th of November, not
the 7th. We apologise for any confusion.
Best wishes,
CompSoc Committee
Dear CompSoc members,
We are excited to announce that we will be holding a formal election next
Tuesday (7th Nov) to expand our committee. This is an excellent opportunity
for appending your CV with experience organising a well-established Oxford
University society, as well as networking with us and our various sponsors
(Bloomberg, Citadel, Jane Street, etc.).
We have a hefty amount of funds available to spend on fun events, games,
competitions, goodies, and excursions, and you will have the opportunity to
suggest activities and investments that you deem exciting/worthwhile.
Some of the available roles include Vice President, Social Secretary, web
developer/designer, and forming part of a one-off committee to plan and
organise our upcoming hackathon in Hilary Term. We are also open to
consider various non-core roles, such as Leader of LANs/Gaming, Leader of
Retro Computing, and other suggestions.
If you would like to run for any of these or other roles, please email us
at committee(a)ox.compsoc.net and join us at the elections on the 7th at
18:00 on our Discord (https://discord.gg/fAFxeNK65A).
We look forward to hearing from you!
Best wishes,
CompSoc Committee
