graduation.
Working within the development team under the direction of the
Development Team Leader,you will be involved in all stages of the
development lifecycle, from system analysis through to build and test.

Technologies used within the team include C++, Visual Basic, XML, XSLT,
PHP, Unix (FreeBSD, Linux), Apache, MySQL, C, Perl, Python, and other
Open Source software. In addition this role will provide the opportunity
to develop Object Oriented Design, Systems Analysis and Database Design
skills. You will be expecting to graduate with a 2.1 or First, having
already achieved first class A level results. You will have gained
substantial development experience either through a previous internship
or through in- depth project work and will have proven programming
skills. An understanding of Databases and SQL would be an advantage.
Human skills are very important at Mintel and you should enjoy working
in a team environment, cope well with pressure, and have a genuine
enthusiasm for IT, together with a "Can do" attitude. You will need to
manage and prioritise a varied workload and enjoy a customer-focused
development role in a constantly changing environment.
Roles are all London based, but will have the opportunity to work from
our offices in Sydney or Chicago.
