Oxford University Computing Services are now recruiting for a
sysadmin role in my team. Here's the one-paragraph blurb:
Do you consider yourself an expert in Unix/Linux systems management?
Are you enthusiastic about working in an expert team where quality of
service, attention to detail, and a willingness to respond positively
to new challenges are all important? Would you also be able to specify,
network and configure hardware for resilient, enterprise IT systems?
If so, we invite you to apply for the post of Unix Systems Administrator
at Oxford University Computing Services.

(sorry for the short notice).

Subject: Incubator for Oxford Students
Hey guys,
I've only just realised that Comp Soc has gone dormant, what a shame - I was
wondering what happened to all the emails I used to get, even after I left
Oxford a few years back. Anyway, if you guys still have a mailing list I
have something that may be of interest:
The guys I work with are targeting graduating students who are hoping to
build technology based startups and offering investment and an incubation
program that runs for 2 months over the Summer. We are a team of four
Balliol alumni who have been working in startups since graduation and
looking to help other Oxford students take the leap into entrepreneurship.
We're offering £5k to 2 to 3 teams, along with office space and mentoring to
help them build their companies. This is targeted towards graduating
studnets, but if someone has a blinding idea we'd love to hear it.
See www.betafoundry.com for more.
Best,
James
