GROWING BIOTECH COMPANY SEEKS NUMERICAL ANALYST
The Company
Cambridge Temperature Concepts Ltd is one of the fastest-growing
start-ups in Cambridge, and is developing DuoFertility
www.duofertility.com, a revolutionary new fertility monitor (and
associated PC software) for women. They have been featured in newspapers
such as the Daily Telegraph and the Daily Mail as ‘one to watch’, and
their product is due to launch at the end of this year.
The Position
The job would entail automatic processing of the data from thousands of
the devices in the field, through the company’s web‐based interface. R
would be used for the back‐end along with SQL, and the presentation
would likely be done in PHP.
CTC is looking to recruit someone on an initial one-month contract, but
there is very strong potential for long-term work.
Personal Attributes
The candidate must have a solid background in statistics and
programming: they must have strong skills in R, moderate skills in web
based languages and database languages such as PHP and SQL. Previous
experience of statistical analysis of large amounts of data would be
ideal. Candidates must be self-motivated, with high technical competence
and good technical communication skills.
The Salary
The salary for this position is approximately £14/hr gross.

Graphic Designer Wanted

The Oxford Wanderer is a new, student run magazine that has been set up
to publish your travel experiences. We publish entertaining and
informative contributions that have a new or unfamiliar take on a place
that you've visited.
The magazine is currently looking for someone with graphic design
experience to join our team. The successful candidate will be working
alongside the current Layout Editor and would be responsible for
creating some independent design features as well as digitising others'
concepts. It is expected that the successful candidate would have some
Photoshop or equivalent experience.
