Dear Members,
I am one of the founders of Trade Chase<http://www.tradechase.com>, a new stock market gaming business based here in Oxford. We are a small team of four (three Oxford graduates) and we launched just six months ago.
We are now looking for a young developer to fill our lead developer role - an amazing opportunity if you want to work in a start-up and in web development.
At Trade Chase you will experience the full complexity of web development, from cloud computing (we are the first licensed gaming business to use Azure) to cutting edge front-end frameworks like Knockout JS. The role involves work across all aspects of the site, including stock market data feeds, ID services, payment providers and Facebook integration.
It is important that you understand one of these three areas very well, and you are happy to pick up the others:
- Javascript
- (MS)SQL
- ASP.NET<http://ASP.NET> (VB)
You will have to be comfortable working in a very fast-paced development environment with a lot of responsibility and you must be willing and able to learn new skills and technologies quickly.
The salary is competitive, the role is based in oxford and the position is available immediately. We will also try to work around your term time or summer holiday commitments if you want to get started on a part-time basis. If you are interested, please send a short CV to Colin Smith at office(a)tradechase.com<mailto:office@tradechase.com>.
Kind regards,
Colin

cross university trading competition of its kind. All you need to
participate is familiarity with programming and basic statistics -- we
provide access to massive amounts of data and a sophisticated
development UI.
If you are completely new to trading, you can dive right into the source
code for any of a number of open-source algos on Quantopian's platform:

* Technical analysis

Quantopian's browser-based UI allows you to clone these algos, modify
them, and immediately run back-tests using Zipline
<https://github.com/quantopian/zipline>.
If you have already developed trading algorithms, you can plug them into
Upgrade Capital's API without porting over any of your source code.

experts, sign up <https://upgradecapital.com/signup.html> for the
competition by 11:59pm PST on Sunday, April 14th*.
