Summer internship in London: featuring Perl, servers and Jabber

Looking for an internship in London? TruTap <http://trutap.com/> are looking for someone who speaks Perl to work on their server architecture over the summer. Knowledge of IM (Jabber in particular) and familiarity with Erlang (to work with ejabberd) would be pluses; in any case, you'd be given tasks based on what you know. Extreme Blue Summer Internship @ IBM

Luke has asked us to forward information about Extreme Blue at IBM - where we've had members attend for the last 2 summers, who rate it highly Martin *_Extreme Blue_* Extreme Blue is IBM’s summer internship programme which combines top undergraduate technical and business talent to develop and commercialise emerging technologies from IBM’s internal portfolios. Student teams work for twelve weeks in an intense incubator-like environment to create business plans and prototypes which address existing market challenges that are then showcased to IBM’s senior executives, business partners, and clients. The internship programme runs at _IBM Hursley_ <http://www.ibm.com/uk/locations/hursley_details.html>, near Winchester and the interns work in small project teams of 4 that include business and technical students, along with IBM mentors from various disciplines and divisions. As an Extreme Blue student, you'll face the challenge of making a real impact in the industry. In addition to being paid a salary of £15,000 pro rata, you will also be provided with accommodation for the duration of the summer close to the IBM Hursley site. The programme culminates with a European Expo where students will have the opportunity to present their work to senior IBMers and meet students from other Extreme Blue labs. *_What we look for in you_* You should be in the penultimate year of your degree; which should be business related for business applicants and science, maths or technology related for technical applicants. Applications will also be considered from MBA candidates studying within a relevant discipline. You must be predicted at least a 2:1. He is now living at home and eager to do what he can to help. We are looking for a student volunteer to help with admin (who might, over time, become a 'key' volunteer who would co-ordinate help from others) to do the following... 1. Using templates and text provided, help me to put together and send bids for project funding and help respond to any enquiries that follow. 2. Help me to plan the 'official launch' of the charity to be held at Leicester Tigers Rugby Club in January - this will involve liaising with the Tigers and the Press in organising the practicalities of the launch. There will be other work that following on from the above, including website maintenance, but these are the key areas at the moment. They could do the work from home as long as they have a phone & internet access. We (at DecisionSoft) are looking to take on an intern to assist our sysadmin over the summer. A great way to earn a bit of cash over the summer and get something to put on your CV at the same time. Hi all, We're looking for someone with a technical background to assist our system administration team during the summer. We have a range of tasks including traditional systems administration, development of the VoIP phone system, further integrating our systems using LDAP and web development. There will be the opportunity to work in some or all of these areas - depending on your interests and experience. We'd expect some experience in Linux and networking.
